Mayoral candidate Jamison reveals third part of plan for improving Sioux Falls

Posted: Updated:

With less than two months to the municipal elections, mayoral candidate Greg Jamison is unveiling the final piece of his plan to improve Sioux Falls.

Part one is the F.A.S.T. Track program, which is aimed at making traffic more efficient in the city.

Part two places an increased emphasis on public safety.

Tuesday, we learned that part three is called "Pay it Back." It's aimed at paying down the city's debt.

Essentially, Jamison wants to use any collected money that is more than the needed budget to pay down the city's debt and give Sioux Falls homeowners a tax rebate.

"Homeowners will receive a rebate based on the value of their home and the money available. I believe that the city does enough with the money we collect and we budget for that money. Any extra money we can rebate back to the homeowners because there's a lot of people in our community that are hurting," said Jamison.
