In honor of Heart Health Month, hundreds of men and women are gathering in Sioux Falls at the Go Red for Women luncheon to learn more about preventing heart disease.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in America, taking the lives of more than 1100 women every day. The Go Red For Women movement was started by the American Heart Association to spread the word about women's heart health.
Friday's Luncheon raises money for research and education to prevent heart disease and stroke throughout South Dakota. Nearly 500 women and men in the Sioux Falls community will hear from survivors, experts, and committed volunteers who serve on the front lines of the battle against heart disease about how to decrease risk and join the fight.
