NEW HOPE, Minn. (AP) - Midwestern grocery chain Hy-Vee is getting into the Twin Cities market.
Hy-Vee said Monday it will add several new stores in the Twin Cities over the next several years, including one under development in New Hope.

The Des Moines, Iowa company has 236 stores in eight states, including South Dakota. The grocer has a major presence in southern Minnesota and has 17 stores in the state.

The Star Tribune reports Hy-Vee will have competition in the Twin Cities market from Cub Foods, Wal-Mart and Target.
