Aberdeen is hosting the Class B state wrestling tournament, and fans are filling the seats and the streets. People from all over come to watch wrestling, and this means they are using several things in the city.
Local restaurants and stores made sure to stock their shelves for the large number of people they'd see coming through their doors this weekend.
Pizza Ranch's buffet is a popular choice of food for wrestling fans, and management at the restaurant made sure they were ready for the rush.
"When it comes to ordering everything for freight, we order extra," says Pizza Ranch Co-manager Matt Maass. "We're here earlier in the morning making sure we got stuff ready."
Kessler's Food and Liquor, Aberdeen's Hometown Grocery Store, also sees a big boost in business. Director of Sales and Merchandise, Courtney Rott, says he sees a lot of one thing in particular selling off the shelves.
"Alcohol is always big. If people are in a party mood, Kessler's has the largest selection of alcohol in the northeast part of the state, so that's always a big seller," Rott said.
The State B tournament finishes up on Saturday night.
