Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week: Noah Klamm

Posted: Updated:

Tonight's Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week is Noah Klamm, a senior at Brandon Valley High School.
Noah has a perfect 4.0 grade point average and his teachers say he is not only hard working but very considerate as well.

Noah Klamm has a real desire to understand how things work and to then take that knowledge to make other things. He is a bit of a tinkerer.Llisten to his latest project he is working on. "Right now I have been designing little things. I have been looking around trying to design a laser that I have been looking at so..been looking at plans and hopefully buy some parts for that soon."

Currently Noah is taking classes in Algebra, Calculus and Chemistry.
But his hard work in all of his classes is something his teachers take note of and are eager to recognize.
Matt Christensen is Noah's English teacher. "Noah Klamm is the ideal student. There's nobody more committed or invested in his own learning and in the progress of the class. It's nice that he cares how it goes. He wants it to go well for other students."

Noah has narrowed down his college choices to the South Dakota School of Mines or North Dakota State University.
And he knows how he wants to invest his studying time. "I would hopefully like to be a successful engineer. Either designing things or maybe even managing other engineers and stuff. kind of being a leader in the engineering field and just being respected in what I do."

Noah's work ethic will no doubt help him reach that goal.

For being named our Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week, Noah will receive a $100 scholarship from Sioux Valley Energy, which is a local Touchstone Energy cooperative.
