The Summit League Tournament is in its second day at the Sioux Falls arena, and people are packing the place. The tournament has set records for attendance all six years it has been in Sioux Falls.
Luckily next year instead of being held in a place that can hold 6,200, it will be in the Denny Sanford Premiere Center where about 12,000 can be seated. SDSU senior Ermias Lamesgin is a huge Jackrabbits fan, and he is very excited for more people being able to attend the tournament
"It's going to be absolutely fantastic. It's going to bring more kids from SDSU, since we are only 45 minutes away. I think there are going to be a lot more people able to make it, and this arena has been packed for every SDSU game," SDSU student Ermias Lamesgin said.
The Summit League Tournament is under contract to be held in Sioux Falls until 2017. The Denny Sanford Premiere Center is slated to open this fall.
