FORT PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The state Department of Environment and Natural Resources is hosting a ground water quality conference in Fort Pierre next week.
The 26th Annual South Dakota Environmental and Ground Water Quality Conference on March 19-20 at the AmericInn Teton Island Conference Center will feature exhibits and technical presentations on the environment, ground water, geology, mining and mineral resources.
The conference is free and open to the public.
Department Secretary Steve Pirner says attendees can learn about situ uranium mining, cleanups of oil spills in North Dakota, former manufactured gas plants, the Big Sioux River water quality master plan or agricultural tile discharges.
