A group of Sioux Falls community members and business leaders wants you to vote "No" to an outdoor pool, because they want a public indoor pool instead.
Community Swim 365 held an open house Monday, giving away t-shirts and yard signs stating their position. The proponents of an indoor aquatics center say a vote "No" on April 8th is the first step.
"You know the people that we talk to when you explain that this is a public indoor pool that can be used 300 plus days out of the year, usually the reaction we get is 'Well, that's a no brainer'. So, we're excited with the momentum we have right now," said Susie Patrick, the co-chair of Community Swim 365.
Community Swim 365 says right now is a critical time to support an indoor pool because the Parks and Rec Department has the funding for it.
