Army Corps to update MIssouri flood potential on Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

On Tuesday, the Army Corps of Engineers will release new information regarding reservoir levels and the possible flood risk for the Missouri River.

As we reported last Thursday, snowpack levels in the Missouri's upper basin are at 122%; which is similar to what we saw three years ago before the Missouri flooded.

The Corps says reservoir levels on the Missouri are "well positioned" to handle higher than normal levels of runoff.

Already, snowmelt is triggering flood warnings in Montana....with water levels rivaling those of 2011....but those flood warnings are not for the Missouri River.
