USD will have NCAA watch party

VERMILLION, S.D.—By virtue of its Summit League Tournament Championship, the South Dakota women's basketball team has qualified for the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament. The Coyotes, along with 63 other teams, will compete at any one of 16 predetermined regional sites and will begin the tournament either March 22 or March 23.

   The NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Committee will announce the tournament field of 64 teams and first-round matchups at 6 p.m. Monday on ESPN. USD student-athletes and coaches will host a Selection Show viewing party on campus at the Muenster University Center (MUC) at 5:45 p.m.
