In Sioux Falls, family and friends of Nebraska head basketball Coach Tim Miles, a Doland Native, anxiously awaited the news on Selection Sunday.
Miles' team, the Cornhuskers, is #11 seed set to face Baylor in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
It is the team's first NCAA appearance since 1998.
The group gathered at the Lawrence and Schiller production center in central Sioux Falls, Sunday afternoon.
People there tell KSFY News the team has been optimistic about this year's tournament. Coach Miles' brother Kevin says it's a great day for his family.
"We've had the excitement of Selection Sundays before when [Tim Miles] was in Colorado. This is special because it is a year ahead of time. We see what's happening, we see where it's going, but being on the bubble or we're seeded twelve, it goes back and forth, we're four in we're four out we're on the bubble, it's fantastic and exciting for the entire family," Kevin Miles said.
