The Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and the League of Women Voters hosted a forum Wednesday night for all candidates running for mayor and a seat on the Sioux Falls city council.
The evening began with mayoral candidates Mike Huether and Greg Jamison, discussing some of the most contentious issues facing the city.
From Walmart, to Spellerberg Park, parking issues, traffic congestion and public transportation, the mayoral candidates had very different thoughts on how the city is handling these issues—especially
"Part of the challenge of running against an incumbent is that they spent the last several years touting their horn about how great things they are and how much they've done for our community," said mayoral candidate Greg Jamison.
"I'm not going to focus on anybody else but what I can do in relaying not only what we've accomplished in our city, but maybe more importantly where we're going," said Sioux Falls Mayor Huether.
The forum also gave voters a chance to learn more about the people running for a seat on the City Council.
Cable Channel CityLink will rebroadcast the forum from March 21-April 6. Times of rebroadcast are 2:30 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well as at 6 p.m. each Monday and Wednesday.
