Pavilion Spotlight: 11th annual Ag Day

Posted: Updated:

48 exhibitors from all over the state will descend on the Washington Pavilion this Saturday to celebrate Ag Day.

"It's also really educational. I think parents and kids both learn a lot about agriculture and things that you don't even think about when you look at your dining room table with food on it. You forget how it got there," said Kaia Mogen, the Pavilion's Special Projects Coordinator.

Last year, 1800 people learned about the science behind agriculture, interacted with sweet farm animals, and enjoyed a delicious free lunch.

"It's going to be right on this bar here on second floor and third floor. It's free and anybody can come. There's going to be pulled pork sandwiches and sloppy Joe's, Dakota style chips, carrots, milk and SDSU ice cream, which is always a favorite," said Mogen.

Thanks to some generous sponsors, the Pavilion's Science Center will be open and free on Saturday. The CineDome will also offer free admission to it's ag friendly movie - Watermelon Magic.

"It's educational, fun, and a celebration of agriculture," said Mogen.

Doors open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. For additional information click on this link http://pavilionagday.org/
