All weekend long, the Salvation Army is celebrating a big milestone: 125 years of service in the Sioux Falls community.
Saturday was day two of the weekend-long events. Supporters filled the performing arts theater at O'Gorman High School for the 2014 celebration service and concert.
"What I think is so great about the Salvation Army here is the reason it's so successful is because of the community itself. The people are very giving here and that makes it possible for the Salvation Army to provide all the services and help people that are in need," development director Marci Gothard said.
The weekend wraps up Sunday morning with a worship service celebration 9:00 a.m. at the main corps office 800 N. Cliff Avenue.
