Group gathering to 'take back the site' at Sioux Falls homicide victim's home

They're hoping to 'Take Back the Site.'

A group of family, neighbors and friends will gather at homicide victim Kari Ann Kirkegaard's home for a vigil tonight. The service aims to reclaim the site from the violence surrounding her death.

The vigil starts at 5:15 and will last around 15 minutes, according to organizers from Pax Christi.

Kirkegaard, 56, was found dead in her home Sunday, March 16. After an autopsy, police announced her death was from homicide. The investigation surrounds are surveillance footage from Kirkegaard's neighborhood, her vehicle and missing bedding. No suspects have been arrested yet.
