Police arrest former convict in connection to Kirkegaard homicide

Police arrested a former convict today in connection to the homicide of Kari Kirkegaard, Kirkegaard's brother Brian Johnson told KSFY News.

Christopher Kryger is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of rape and two counts in burglary.

Kirkegaard, 56, was found dead in her home on South Garfield Avenue on Sunday, March 16.

After an autopsy, police determined her death was consistent with homicide.

Kryger is no stranger to crime. His previous convictions include felony rape, aggravated kidnapping, assault and burglary.
