Winter hanging on as snow storm hits eastern South Dakota, again

Posted: Updated:

It's spring, but the winter weather is hanging on.

Many schools across the area closed early -- preparing for slippery roads. And, even though it hasn't been snowing long here in Sioux Falls, we're not in the clear.

Phil says snow will continue to fall overnight in eastern South Dakota into Minnesota and Iowa. We're looking at 2" to 5" in the Sioux Falls area with higher amounts to the east. You can also expect the wind to increase out of the north into the 20-30 mph range late Thursday night into Friday morning so there will be some blowing and drifting.
