A few new faces for Sioux Falls' City Council

OnTuesday, Sioux Fallsvoters made their choices for four open seats on the Sioux Falls City Council.

Forthe "At Large A" seat, incumbent Rex Rolfing won re-election to his seatagainst two challengers, Sioux Falls businessmanEmmett Reistroffer and former Sioux Falls state lawmaker Manny Steele.

Inthe "At Large B" race, former state legislator Christine Erickson defeated Sioux Falls insuranceexecutive Denny Pierson.

Forthe "Central District" seat, incumbent Michelle Erpenbach staved off achallenge from former state lawmaker Rebecca Dunn.

Andin the "Southeast District" seat, retired teacher Rick Kiley won the election.He faced opposition from community activist Bonita Schwan.

Ofthese four races, the result is an even split; two incumbents will be returningto the council while two new faces will be joining the council.
