An investigation into a death at a Sioux Falls hotel ended with a drug bust and three suspects in custody.
Police responded to a medical call at the Residence Inn around 1:30 Thursday morning. They found a body of a woman who had died in the hotel room.
Police say the 41-year-old woman's death was not suspicious. However, while searching the woman's purse for identification, Police found a baggie containing 1.4 grams of cocaine.
This led to a more detailed search of the room and occupants' car, where police say they found more cocaine as well as several bottles of prescriptions drugs.
Police say the woman and three had others - all from Florida - got prescriptions in Miami then drove to Sioux Falls to fill them. They then returned to Florida, where prescriptions are more expensive, to sell them. Investigators say they had done this on more than one occasion.
Police arrested Grady McKinney, 50, Marvin Hollinger, 30, and Dominique St. Amand, 46, all from Miami Gardens, Fl., for distribution of a controlled substance and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
