"It's what I do. It's what I love. Anybody that knows me is going to say farming," said Ryan Veldhuizen in the trailer for "Farmland".

The movie showcases the beauty of our country and six hard-working farmers in their twenties.

"Portraying the accurate story. How things really are, how farming really goes. They came around here. They followed me in my every day life doing what I always do," detailed Veldhuizen.

Veldhuizen is a fourth generation farmer in Edgerton, Minnesota. He and his family raise 25,000 hogs every year, and they farm 2,400 acres of corn and soybeans.

"I would like to think we are a model family farm. This is a true family effort."

After numerous conversations with Allentown Productions, a film company based in Los Angeles, the 26-year-old decided he had a message to share.

"There's a lot of land owned by elderly people that is going to be coming available and somebody needs to farm it. The world still needs to eat, people still have to produce food, and so we need to look to the next generation and technology to do this," said Veldhuizen.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Moll, Farmland will be released national May 1st.

"Go see it. Tell your friends. Go view it and then start asking questions. There's no secrets in farming. It's just what would you like to know," said Veldhuizen.
