South Dakota Governor hosts Easter egg hunt

Families are invited to join the Easter egg hunt at the Governor's resident in Pierre.

Governor Dennis Daugaard and First Lady Linda Daugaard are hosting the 61st Annual Elks Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. central on Easter day.

"This will be the fourth year that Linda and I have participated in the mansion Easter Egg Hunt," Daugaard said. "We're happy to have the opportunity to continue the tradition."

Children up to age 10 are invited to participate in the hunt. Children's entertainer Phil Baker will be performing before the hunt begins, around 12:15.

The event is sponsored by the Pierre Elks. Those who would like to make a contribution toward the event should call 605-295-1221.
