This year's Sioux Falls JazzFest will be 'Bad to the Bone'

Posted: Updated:

George Thorogood and the Destroyers and Gary Clark Jr. are set to headline this year's JazzFest.

Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues announced the main stage lineup Thursday at the Washington Pavilion.  The lineup for the 23rd annual festival includes a diverse group of artists, including blues, rock, and traditional jazz.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers are one of three headliners at this year's event.  They are celebrating their 40th anniversary together.  That's four decades of iconic hits like "Who Do You Love," "I Drink Alone," "Move It On Over," and "Bad To The Bone."

With his debut album Blak and Blu Gary Clark Jr. became the first artist ever recognized by the Recording Academy with Grammy Award nominations in both the rock and R&B categories for the same album in the same year.  He won a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance.  Recently, his acoustic work was included in the soundtrack for the movie 12 Years a Slave.

JazzFest 2014 is July 17-19 at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls.
