Sioux Falls police looking for teens who robbed store at gunpoint

Sioux Falls police are looking for three teenagers who robbed a Sioux Falls gas station at gunpoint early this morning and then drove off in a silver Ford Freestyle.

Officers were called to Cubby's, 2101 W. 49th Street, around 1 a.m. Tuesday. The clerk told police the three suspects took money from the cash register and fled in a silver Ford Freestyle with a luggage rack on top. Police say the car appeared to be in good shape. Officers would not disclose the amount of money taken from the store.

Police described the first suspect as a white male, 13 to 14 years old, around 5-foot to 5-foot-2-inches, and a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie, a dark colored bandana over his face, black pants, black tennis shoes, white gloves and had a dark grey semi-automatic hand gun. This suspect told the clerk "we want your money" and forced them to fill a lime green grocery sack with cash.

The second suspect is described as a white male, 13 to 14 years old, around 5-foot to 5-foot-2-inches, and a medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie, a dark colored bandana covering his face, grey sweatpants, black tennis shoes with dark colored laces. He was also wearing white gloves and carrying a dark grey semi-automatic hand gun.

The third suspect waited by the door while the other two got money from the clerk. He's described as a white male, 13 to 14 years old, 5-foot, stocky build. He was wearing a black hoodie, a dark colored bandana over his face, dark grey sweatpants, black tennis shoes and white gloves. Police are not sure if the third suspect was armed.

The three teens left through the front door of the store, where someone was waiting in the Ford Freestyle. The left southbound on Western Avenue.
