A Sioux Falls transient was run down by a car in the Mercato's parking lot Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses told police the woman was yelling at people in a car before they backed into her, over both of her legs, and then drove forward over her legs again.
She told officers she didn't know the people and hadn't been yelling at them. Public Information Officer Sam Clemens says the victim was not cooperative with police.
Witnesses described the driver as a man in his 50s driving a light blue Oldsmobile, late 80s or early 90s model. Police do not have a suspect, Clemens said.
One of the victim's legs was broken in the attack.
