SPEARFISH -- The South Dakota Board of Regents is meeting to appoint a new president of Black Hills State University.
The regents are meeting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Student Union at the Jacket Legacy Room on the Spearfish campus. A reception is planned immediately following the meeting for people to meet the new president.
President Kay Schallenkamp has served in the position since July 2006. She announced that she would retire in October.
Four finalists for the position recently visited the campus.
