A Brandon elementary student is out of class after bringing a gun to an after-school event.
It happened at a Family Fun Night last Friday at Robert Bennis Elementary, principal Karen Heyden told KSFY News.
Someone reported a student had a weapon on the playground, and once administrators found out, it was a smooth process, Heyden said.
The cops were called, and “the procedure went really well,” she said. “Most people at Family Fun Night didn’t know this happened.”
The fourth grader isn’t in class, but Heyden wouldn’t comment on the school’s disciplinary procedure.
