The City of Sioux Falls Public Works Department is partnering with the Parks Department to hold a community wide Big Sioux River Greenway Clean-Up on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. Volunteers are encouraged to wear gloves and wear appropriate clothing to be picking up litter along the Bike Trail throughout Sioux Falls.

The event will allow community volunteers to choose any of the parks listed to show up and volunteer. Volunteer Coordinators will be located at each park shelter to hand out trash bags and provide direction. The following parks have been selected as meeting areas:

  • Legacy Park – 7001 W. 12th Street
  • Falls Park – 131 E. Falls Park Drive
  • Rotary Park – 2101 E. 18th Street
  • Sertoma Park – 4300 S. Oxbow Avenue
  • Fawick Park – 200 S. Second Avenue
