America’s letter carriers are serving those in need – but they need your help.
In the next few days, shopping bags and postcards will be delivered to residents throughout Sioux Falls. Any non-perishable food items (canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, cereal) left in the bag at your mailbox on Saturday will be donated to Feeding South Dakota to help neighbors in need.
This is the 22nd year the nation’s letter carriers have held the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Last year, over 74 million pounds of food was collected, feeding an estimated 30 million people. Over the course of its 21-year history, the drive has collected more than 1 billion pounds of food for hungry individuals and families.
