Final two suspects arrested in April gas station robbery

Posted: Updated:

It’s case closed in the April gas station robbery, Sioux Falls police said today.

Two more young women are in jail for the April 22 robbery of Cubby’s, 2101 W. 49th St. A 17-year-old girl was charged with first degree robbery and taken to JDC. Allison Armentrout, 22, was charged with first degree robbery. Armentrout is in the Minnehaha County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

The two other suspects, Kelli Schlotterback, 19, and another 17-year-old girl, were arrested in late April after their families encouraged the pair to turn themselves in.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens says CrimeStoppers tips led police to the two most recent arrests. He stressed how important CrimeStoppers – and the public – are to solving crimes in Sioux Falls.

Initial police reports indicated the robbery was done by four young boys. Clemens said it’s unusual to have a case with only female suspects.
