The Abbot of the Temple, Tsics Mins Dieu, said he wants people to know more about Buddhism because it good for everyone.

Especially, because the Vietnamese population is growing in Sioux Falls.

Tsics Mins Dieu added he wanted to make the temple so the Vietnamese people have somewhere to share their culture and religion.

He said every week about 20 to 30 people will be there to worship.

But this Sunday, is the opening day and they're expecting about 100 people to come celebrate.

He said he's excited for the opening of the Temple to be able to share it with everyone.

"The Vietnamese people here are very good, they wish to have a Buddhist Temple like this. So I feel happy to be able to be here and to share with them," Tsics Mins Dieu said.

The Temple won't just be used for worship.

He said they're planning on having meditation and Vietnamese classes for everyone to enjoy and learn.
