The Helpline Center in Sioux Falls is hosting a mental health first aid training seminar.
The course is designed to give people initial help, but isn't a substitute for professional help.
Over 8-hours, participants will learn how to give first aid to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis situation or who are in the early stages of a mental health disorder. Participants learn the signs and symptoms of the most common mental health problems, where and when to get help, and what type of help has been shown to be effective.
The July 25 course is free, but registration is limited. Contact Lori Montis at 274-1406 or email@example.com to register or ask questions.
