A Sioux Falls woman will appear in court Thursday afternoon on charges of rape and sexual contact with three young boys.
Sioux Falls Police say Anne Elizabeth Doubler, 30, was home in her apartment in the 600 block of N. Lewis Avenue Wednesday with at least three boys between the ages of seven and 10. Doubler’s live-in boyfriend came home and found her and both boys naked.
Police say the boys left the apartment, but officers later questioned them and learned there had been sexual contact.
The boys are not related to Doubler. Police say they lived in surrounding apartments. Police are still trying to determine if there are other victims.
The mother of one of Doubler’s alleged victims told KSFY News she didn’t realize what was happening in Doubler’s home. She said Doubler had a child herself and lots of toys. She thought the children were playing together.
Doubler was charged with five counts each of first-degree rape, sexual contact with a child younger than 16 and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police Department says there could be up to six kids all together who Doubler had sexual contact with.
It is still unclear whether the incident Wednesday night was an isolated one of if it had been ongoing.
KSFY spoke to one 7-year-old victim's mother Thursday. She says her son had been over to Doubler's apartment many times to play -- so she thought.
"Toys and everything and the kids when they see toys they go inside and we think like she has a kid and they were together playing together we didn't know about that. We don't think that something is going on over there if I knew that girl is bad how can I send my kids over there? No!" said the mother.
Doubler is being held on $50,000 cash only bond. She is to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18. She is able to have supervised visits with her son and she is maintain all medical treatment prescribed. Her preliminary hearing is set in 15 days.
