Sioux Falls School Board approves Chromebooks for next year

Posted: Updated:

Chromebooks have been in Sioux Falls classrooms for one full school year now.

Tonight, the school board decided they're going to keep the Chromebooks for the next school year.

They say the students and teachers really enjoyed having them in the classrooms.

The Chomebooks were handed out to students last fall.

Third to 12th graders were able to use them everyday.

Teachers told the district they really like the Chromebooks because students were more engaged in class and because it cut down on printing worksheets and readings for the students.

The district said they were thrilled about the outcome and cant wait to see what the next few years brings.

Next year they'll have a class set of iPads in every kindergarten to second grade Sioux Falls class rooms.
