A truck driver says he fell asleep, just moments before crashing a semi full of beer.

The accident happened early Wednesday morning on Interstate 29, north of Summit.  The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the semi-truck was heading northbound when the driver fell asleep behind the wheel, causing the truck to leave the road.  The driver woke up and over-corrected.  The semi entered the median and rolled onto it's side.

The driver survived the crash without any serious injuries.  The driver was wearing a seatbelt.  The only alcohol involved in the crash was the Bud Light that spilled into the median.
