Sip-n-Cycle pedal bar comes to downtown Sioux Falls

Posted: Updated:

The new Sip-n-Cycle made its debut voyage in Downtown Sioux Falls Thursday night.

The cycle is similar to pedal pubs seen in cities like Minneapolis and Denver; it holds 16 passengers who pedal to keep the large cycle moving at around five miles per hour.

Thursday’s trip was powered by volunteers, including a few Sioux Falls City Council members who wanted to test out downtown’s newest addition.

“There are a couple of city council members on here and friends and family, they had some concerns and they wanted to check it out for themselves to see that we have mitigated those concerns and see that we have things in place to make it work,” said Sip-n-Cycle partner Patrick Jones.

The Sip-n-Cycle is already taking reservations for the summer with parties kicking off this weekend.

The pub is fully licensed to sell beer and wine, but it also makes several stops at some of downtown’s finest establishments for a night full of fun.
