If you are looking for something fun to do with your children besides going to the pool, the Museum of Visual Materials has a lot of free activities.
There are three "kid stations" situated throughout the museum.
The newest activity is the Imagination Playground. Kids can play with large foam blocks and let their creativity fly by building anything they can imagine.
One corner of the room is dedicated to Lego's at the Lego Creation Station. Kids can create whatever they like using Lego's. There is also the 2nd Annual Lego Display going on where children and adults can submit their creations.
There is also a crafts corner which is stocked with recyclable materials and art supplies.
Summer hours are Monday through Wednesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
