Akron, IA (ABC9 News) Plymouth Co. Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo has released the names of the two people found dead at their home in Akron, IA on Wednesday. 

Authorities say Donald Neunaber, 83 and Esther Neunaber, 80 were found at the home. They have been transported to Ankeny to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy that is scheduled on Friday.  Investigators believe the cause of death is murder, manslaughter, or other felonious homicide, according to a criminal complaint. 

Plymouth County officials confirmed 44 year old Jonathan Neunaber, who is believed to have information related to the deaths, was found in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. According to Plymouth CountSheriffff Mike Van Otterloo, Neunaber was stopped on a traffic violation. Mr. Neunaber is being detained on material witness warrant, a no bond warrant. The 2006 Buick the Akron man was driving is impounded and being processed by investigators. 
Neunaber was held overnight in La Crosse County Jail. On Friday afternoon he waived his extradition, agreeing to go to Plymouth County, Iowa.

Authorities in Iowa say Jonathan Neunaber is consider a person of interest in the investigation and has not been charged with any crimes . He will be held without bond until he is surrendered to Iowa authorities.

Wednesday night, the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office got a call to the home at 17279 180th St. outside of Arkon.

"We were called by a relative of people living there. They had come to visit. When they entered the residence, they discovered the deceased,ā€ said Van Otterloo.

Officials say they determined the deaths were not accidental or of natural causes but of a suspicious manner

"I can tell you it was a death that was violent, and other than that Iā€™m not going to be specific,ā€ said Van Otterloo.
