South Dakota ranked as one of the least nostalgic towards 1980's

A new study has ranked South Dakota as one of the least-nostalgic states when it comes to 1980's popular culture.

According to the real estate blog Estately, South Dakota came in 46th overall in attachment to 80's nostalgia.

The study used Facebook user data to measure interest in iconic 80's celebrities, popular culture, and brands. South Dakota was in the bottom half for all but three categories -- the band Van Halen (22nd), and TV shows Dallas (21st) and Miami Vice (18th).

All states were ranked based on Facebook interest in these 15 criteria: Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Madonna, Pee-Wee Herman, Ronald Reagan, Mr. T, Dirty Dancing, The Breakfast Club, Dallas, Miami Vice, The Cosby Show, The Golden Girls, Atari, and the DeLorean DMC-12.

Kentucky came in first overall in the study, while Hawaii was ranked as the least-nostalgic state for the 80's.
