All American Salute To The Troops

The All American Salute to the Troops is coming to Sioux Falls June 20-22, 2008! The first event of its kind in the nation celebrating all military members and their families’ service to our Country is free to everyone who would like to attend. The event will feature equipment and artifacts from each era of American History from the Revolutionary War to the War on Terror. Highlights will include a WWII era Tank, a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter, a Troop Transport Truck from the Korean Era, WWII era Jeep Display and Modern Military Equipment Displays.
Educational Seminars will be held Friday and Saturday, see website for details at www.SaluteToTheTroops.com. Children will have an opportunity to go to CAMO Camp to experience Night Vision and GPS Activities and more thru the Operation Military Kids organization, pre-registration is required and will begin June 1 on the website. Vendors will be on hand with information on the GI Bill, Health Care benefits, Job and Career Training Opportunities, VA Home Loan Information and more.
Visit the Open All Night Coffee Shop at the Old Armory and visit with a few friends there. See the Artwork by the Sioux Empire Arts Council members. See the Museum Collections of Military Memorabilia from Siouxland Heritage Museums and Private Collectors. Listen to the free music on the Front Porch Stage. Try your hand at a climbing wall and so much more.
