I became the President and General Manager of KSFY-TV in 2010, and it’s been the best move I’ve ever made both personally and professionally. I am working with the best staff in the business, and that is what makes coming to work a blast every day!
We tell our viewers to “Expect More,” which is not just a slogan, but our guiding principle. One of the things that makes my job so much fun is developing a game plan to help individuals and businesses grow. I enjoy working with our new reporters and anchors to help them get a strong start in the community.
Our most exciting project to support our news mission was the construction of our cutting edge new broadcast facility in downtown Sioux Falls. Launched in 2016, this 21st century TV station provides our news staff with the best technical tools to serve our region. And of course, one of the most gratifying parts of my job is to work with the KSFY sales team, Creative Services, and our clients to develop and support solutions that help our clients’ grow their businesses.
I’m very involved in the community, with a focus on helping families and children. I currently serve on the boards of Junior Achievement, Make-A-Wish and Family Services, Inc. I have served on the board of SEBA youth baseball and coached local youth teams. Encouraging young people to consider careers in media is a priority for me, so I established the KSFY Media Camp for high school students and often serve as a guest lecturer for media-related high school and college classes.
On a personal note, I love spending time with my family, and watching and playing sports.
