Taylor joined KSFY in September 2018 as the weekend sports anchor and sports reporter.
Taylor is originally from Eagan, Minnesota. She found her passion for the industry when she was in elementary school and started getting involved in television industry at just 14-years-old.
She graduated in 2016 from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Mass Communications-Broadcast Journalism. She spent the first two years after college as a sports anchor, reporter and producer at KTTC/KXLT in Rochester, Minnesota.
She interned in the sports department at KARE 11 and has worked for Fox Sports for the Big Ten Network as well.
In college, Taylor was heavily involved in the award-winning student-run TV program, UTVS. While there she was station manager, while also being a sports anchor, news and sports producer, reporter and director during her four years involved.
While at SCSU, she was awarded first place in the “College Talent” category for 2015 and 2016 through the Emmys, while earning third place for her anchor reel through the BEA in 2016. She was the reporter for the “Best of Festival” Husky Productions broadcast in 2015, and was the director for the “Best of Festival” UTVS News show in 2016. The newscast she produced for UTVS in 2015 also won first place through the BEA, among several other awards.
Her favorite experience was covering St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey through Husky Productions. There she was the ice side reporter for three years working alongside some of the top collegiate hockey teams on the country’s award winning sports production team. She also had the opportunity to have nearly two dozen appearances on Fox Sports North as the reporter as well.
When not working, she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and black lab puppy, traveling, and always has college hockey, the Red Sox, or football on.
