2nd annual Bulls and Broncs rodeo happening this weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - The second annual Bulls and Broncs event is this weekend in the Expo Center at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.

Local, national and even international riders will try to last eight seconds riding on either a bull or a saddle bronc.

All the stock is from award-winning Korkow Rodeos, which provides animals for the National Finals Rodeo.

Organizers said the goal of this event is to bring everyone together during these cold winter months.

"At the fair we have the rodeo, and that's always super fun and exciting," Courtney Drenth, Sioux Empire Fair director of marketing and public relations, said. "Families come out, people like to see it,s o we're excited to bring it here in February so it gives people the opportunity to see it again. It's cold outside, so it gives families something and entertain themselves for the weekend."

It starts Friday at 7:30 p.m. and continues Saturday night.

Tickets at the door are $16. Advance tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12, and kids 5 and under are free.

People can purchase advanced tickets at Campbell's locations in Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Madison and Rock Rapids.
