SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Several major streets and intersections in Sioux Falls are closed Thursday morning due to flooding.
41st & Louise
41st Street to Shirley Avenue and Louise Avenue to 49th Street is closed. Also, 57th street near Cliff Avenue is closed.
Around 2.5" of rain has fallen in the Sioux Falls area, according to KSFY Meteorologist Shawn Cable, leading to standing water in several parts of the city.

Public Works Director Mark Cotter asks residence to call 605-367-7000 if they see a flooded intersection or road that is not barricaded off. In addition, he is asking that all residents limit water usage until Friday to limit stress on the city's water system.
Mayor Paul TenHaken is asking residents to have patience as crews continue to handle flooding and road problems around the city.
