Sioux Falls, S.D. - It was a busy day out at the Sanford Sports Complex in Sioux Falls for the 5th annual AAU Grand Prix Volleyball Tournament.
120 volleyball teams from around the Midwest participated this year.
This is the first time courts were added at the Sanford Fieldhouse because the Pentagon can’t handle more than 88 teams.
“Volleyball around the country is growing exponentially, but especially in south Dakota,” Pentagon Academy volleyball director Mark McCloskey said. “We are growing pretty-- far as number of kids that play volleyball and that play in their non-school seasons in the spring.
McCloskey said it’s the biggest volleyball tournament they have ever had.
