Aberdeen police arrest 4 in connection to 9 burglaries

ABERDEEN, S.D. (KSFY) - Police in Aberdeen say four people are facing charges after dozens of stolen items linked to nine burglaries and thefts were found last week.

Officers located a stolen trailer and snowmobile Friday afternoon in the 200 block of 4th Avenue NE.

A search warrant issued for the residence, a storage unit and vehicles found dozens of stolen items, including televisions, power tools and fishing equipment, among others.

Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also seized, police said.

The following were those arrested and their charges according to police:

- Nathan Allan Marzenell, 34 - possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, keeping a place for the use or sale of a controlled substance, possession of drugs while in jail, and possessing or receiving stolen property.

- Tasha Marie Marzenell, 29 - possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, keeping a place for the use or sale of a controlled substance, possession of drugs while in jail, and possessing or receiving stolen property.

- Matthew David Tutor, 35 - possession of a controlled substance, possession or receiving stolen property, probation violation, two counts of burglary 3rd degree, grand theft auto and ingesting a controlled substance.

- Dewayne Detanuski Ross, 29 - possession of a controlled substance, possessing or receiving stolen property, two counts of third degree burglary, first degree petty theft, grand theft auto and ingesting a controlled substance.

Police said more charges are expected to be added as the investigation continues.
