PIERRE, S.D. (KSFY) - Aberdeen-based Agtegra Cooperative announced a half million dollar donation to South Dakota State University on Thursday in Pierre.
The presentation was part of Agtegra Day at the Capitol.
The money will help fund the Precision Agriculture Building Project proposed by the College of Agricultural and Biological Sciences.
“We are committed to serving our farmer-members with innovation and integrity,” Agtegra Cooperative Board President Hal Clemensen said in a press release. “It is from our understanding of the vital role that precision technology will play in the success of farming that we are supporting this project.”
The total cost of the project is $55 million.
