UPDATE: Arrest made involving school shooting threat

WORTHINGTON, Minn. - Police have made an arrest following a threat made against the Worthington Public School District on social media.

Worthington police say the threat involved a possible school shooting.

Minnesota law prohibits the identity of the suspect from being released.

According to the school district, officials were made aware of the threat Wednesday evening.

The Worthington School District opened two hours late Thursday due to the incident. Additional security will be on hand Thursday morning as a precaution.

Police said there is no further threat to the public.
