Authorities searching for cat who bit Sioux Falls man

SIOUX FALLS (KSFY) - Authorities are working to find a cat they say bit a man in western Sioux Falls last week.

According to Animal Control Supervisor Julie DeJong, a man found a stray cat in his yard on the 5000 block of West King Arthur Drive Thursday evening. He reached to pet the animal, and the cat bit him on the hand.

DeJong said Animal Control needs to identify the cat in this incident to verify its vaccinations. The cat was a black and tan calico pattern and it was wearing a brown collar with no tags.
