Bear tranquilized at Great Plains Zoo

SIOUX FALL, S.D. (KSFY) - A bear at the Great Plains Zoo was tranquilized today after it entered an area it wasn't supposed to be in.

Great Plains Zoo President Elizabeth Whealy said the bear never entered a public area and guests were never in danger. But as a precaution, zoo staff helped move guests inside buildings.

The zoo said an equipment flaw was likely to blame.
