Body of missing Nebraka woman found, according to her parents

ANTELOPE COUNTY, Neb. In a tragic ending to the search for Sydney Loofe, her parents announced Monday night that the Neligh, NE native's body has been recovered.

Sydney is the daughter of George and Susie Loofe of Neligh and has been missing since Nov. 15 and last seen in the Wilber area. Multiple agencies, including the FBI, had been searching for the missing 24-year-old.

A posting on the family's official Facebook page, Finding Sydney Loofe, states, "It's with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all. Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family. May God grant eternal rest unto thee. We love you Sydney."

Loofe disappeared back on November 16.

Several search and rescue groups had been combing lakes, rivers, and surrounding fields, mostly near the town of Wilber, Nebraska, where investigators believe Loofe was the night she disappeared. Sydney's cell phone last pinged there. It was also where one of two persons of interest has an apartment.

As of late Sunday night, two persons of interest were still in custody. Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell are being held at the Saline County Jail, after they turned themselves in in Taney County, Missouri. They both had outstanding warrants on charges unrelated to Loofe's case.

The FBI has not yet confirmed this information, but said they will hold a press conference with other local law enforcement at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
